Carbide prioritises uptime in abrasive timber (burnt, dirty, treated), delivering 3–4× longer between sharpens when maintained with diamond tools. Oregon steel is a fast, economical option for clean wood and general production. For mechanical harvesting/processing heads only; not for handheld chainsaws.
