Tsumura Hi-Depth Tungsten Carbide Saw Chain is designed for the toughest extreme cutting conditions. Tsumura is suitable for cutting all types of wood including dense hard wood. It's designed with a carbide capping welded horizontally both sides of the cutter providing incredible strength and complete coverage over top surface of cutter. 

Sharpening Tsumura carbide is sharpening with files or discs coated with industrial diamonds. 

Sharpening Frequency

Tsumura carbide will cut 4-5 times more wood between sharpens compared to a regular steel chain cutting the identical wood.

Sharpening Examples 

1. Cutting clean wood, If a steel chain cuts a tank of fuel between sharpens, Tsumura carbide cutting the identical wood will cut 4-5 tanks of fuel.  
2. Cutting Dirty wood, hollow piped logs, burnt logs, stumps, etc. A steel chain may only manage two cuts between sharpening. When cutting identical wood Tsumura will need sharpening after 8-10 cuts or at least every tank of fuel.
3. Tsumura carbide is not indestructible, by running it blunt you will increase the risk of friction heat stretch and chain breakage. We recommend you keep it sharp and it will cut exceptionally well.
